Age: 22 yrs
Ziphango is yet another complicated character, and his backstory is almost as complciated as his personality. Ziphango had been born to a rogue mother whom abandoned him and his two brothers to die upon the rocks of a riverbed. In their youth and hunger, they approached the first figures to offer food to them, which had been a terrible mistake. Taken in and forced into servitude to by a vampire convent, he and his siblings were terribly abused, his brother's having not survived the torment.
By the time he'd grown to realize that they were not friend but foe, and his siblings torn from him, that he found himself struggling internally with taking his own life or fighting back against them and attempting to flee. By the time he had been ready to make up his mind and fight back, the whole place was engulfed in flames by another young phantasm who had beaten him to his resolve. The young phantasm had been Tyler, which is where their connection lies, though Tyler isn't totally aware of it.
It is the fact that Tyler beat him to the resolve of fighting back against their captives that leads him to hold such resentment in him. Tyler is a far younger phantasm in comparison to Ziphango, but has beaten him in a number of things that he either did not bring up the resolve to do, or was simply outclassed in. He also attempts to pick at other things to fuel his resentment towards Tyler, such as his youth leading to inexperience as an alpha, and other inadequecies that would inhibit proper leadership. Thus he is constantly picking fights with the young alpha in attempts to take his place, however he's yet to succeed.
Despite his aggressive nature and open resentment towards the young alpha, he takes his job has a hive guard very seriously. Which leads him to his constant confrontation against one of the other guard Liam. He's not completely certain as to why, other than that he senses a great feeling of danger from the younger male, and feels he's a dangerous threat.
On a side note he's reffered to by his kin as a False Vampire, both for his appearance, and his uncanny use of turning his blood into blades.
